The Gesellschaft für Deutsch-Indisch Zusammenarbeit e.V. (GDIZ) or the German-Indian Association was established in 2010 as a not-for-profit organization with its seat in the city of Munich.
Our members are people from all walks of life including highly qualified professionals from the areas of business, politics and education, including students. All of us share common passion for promoting an exchange between India and Germany.
Germany is India’s largest trading partner in the European Union. India with its significantly young and highly skilled working force, huge domestic market which is being served by home grown start-ups along with strong small and midsized enterprises (SME) and growing purchasing power, offers a massive potential for Germany.
GDIZ’s task it to illuminate this potential and create opportunities for business, political, cultural and educational exchange, within the two countries.
Committed to our vision and deliver with passion
Professional, transparent and fair in conduct, which is guided by mutual respect
Striving for continuous improvement and going new ways
A source of motivation and inspiration for our stakeholders
Approachable, cooperative and open to feedback
The GDIZ team has launched several initiatives and projects to life. This includes German-Indian Business Forum, German-Indian Business Round Tables, Diplomats in Dialogue, Spirit of India Concert Series, an Event Series “How to Germany?” with sub projects like How to Start-Up in Germany and Intercultural Training and Negotiations. Other Projects include Film Screenings during Munich Film Festival and a multitude of Cultural and Political Events. The organization has facilitated internships for German and Indian students who are interested in expanding their horizons.
GDIZ encourages its members to propose projects in the monthly board meetings. Members and Volunteers are encouraged to shoulder end-2-end responsibility and the board works with them to achieve the project goals.
